The DCW-15B and the DCW-15SHF sequence controllers insure that our SP Series of mast-mounted GaAsFET preamplifiers can be used at their maximum through power ratings by providing the proper sequencing of both power amplifier and preamplifier switching. These sequencers guarantee that preamp switchover occurs before power amplifier turn on by first removing the preamplifier control voltage and then providing a relay closure to key the PTT line of your linear amplifier. This insures that hot switching which could damage the preamp relay contacts or destroy the GaAsFET does not occur.
Besides providing the necessary preamplifier and linear amplifier sequencing functions, the DCW sequencers also allow the preamplifier control voltage to be feed to the preamp via the coaxial cable. Low loss bias-T's are built into each sequence controller. The DCW-15B controller is to be used with our 50.0 - 435MHz. preamplifiers. and the DCW-15SHF sequence controller is to be used with our 903MHz. - 2400MHz. mast-mounted preamp[lifiers.
The front panel contains three LED's and two switches that reflect the status of the sequencer.
LED's: Power On, Preamp On, Power Amplifier PTT line keyed.
Switches: Preamplifer Bypass, Power Amplifier Bypass
13.8vdc ... 2 N-connectors ... requires on ground on transmit (YAESU / KENWOOD's) or
plus voltage on transmit (ICOM's) to start sequencer function.
