Since many radio amateurs do not require a transverter housed in a custom cabinet complete with metering and switching relays, we are pleased to offer several modules that will offer superb performance at a lower cost.
Like our LT Series transverters, our TV Series of VHF/UHF transverters offer: Dual LO's, DBM's on TX/RX, and excellent noise figures.

SSB Electronic offers a series of GaAsFET microwave linear amplifier modules for use in the MHz region. Custom versions of these amplifiers can be produced in the 2.0 Ghz - 2.7 GHz. range with your choice of connectors. These amplifiers include: the GASPA0. watt linear amplifier with 11dB gain, the GASPA3 2304 3 watt linear amplifier with 9dB gain, the GASPA5 2304 5 watt linear amplifier with 10dB gain, and finally the GASPA10 2304 10 watt linear amplifier with 9 dB gain. Any of our transverter modules or microwave power amplifiers are suitable for ATV or Data Link operation. |
By combining the CLO-1 local oscillator module, the CRM-1 receive down converter, the CTM-1 transmit up converter, and optionally the TSB-1 transverter switch box, a transverter system yielding over 200mW of linear output with a noise figure of less than 2.2dB on 5760 MHz. can be constructed. All modules are carefully tuned on spectrum and noise gain analyzers for maximum performance. Each unit is available separately for integration into custom applications. Please contact us regarding your requirements.
![]() | The CLO-1 Local Oscillator Module provides a minimum of 7mW output on 2808 MHz. Starting with an oscillator operating at 117.0 MHz. all stages are filter coupled to insure a clean (X24) output spectrum. 13.8VDC ... Dimensions 37 x 111 x 30mm ... BNC connector |
| The CRM-1 5760MHz. Down converter covers MHz. with a corresponding IF output of MHz. This module features a two stage GaAsFET preamplifier, silver plated cavitiy filters for image rejection, and an active GaAsFET mixer. With this configuration, a NF of <2.2dB and a conversion gain of 20dB is obtained. The CRM also contains two cavity coupled stages to multiply the 2808 MHz. LO signal to the mixer injection frequency of 5616 MHz. A separate port is also provided with a +7dBm output at 5616 MHz. for transmitter mixer operation. This unit is constructed on a teflon pc board and is housed in an RF tight plated enclosure. 13.8VDC ... Dimensions 74 x 111 x 30 mm ... Connectors: 4 SMA |
![]() | The CTM-1 5760 MHz. transmit up converter covers MHz. with a corresponding IF input of MHz. It requires a LO input of 7 mW (available from the CRM-1) and features an active GaAsFET mixer plus three stages of linear amplification. To insure a clean output, silver plated cavity resonators are used between each stage. Unwanted products are more than 40 dB down. Due to its broadband input matching, the CTM-1 is also suitable for digital microwave links and TV applications. An internally adjustable attenuator is provided to accomodate drive levels from 20mW ... 3 Watts for a minimum of 175 mW of linear output. This unit is constructed on a teflon pc board and is housed in an RF tight plated enclosure. 13.8VDC...Dimensions 74 x 111 x 30 mm...Connectors: 3 SMA |
By combining the XLO-1/01 local oscillator module, the XRM-1 receive down converter, the XTM-1 transmit up converter, and optionally the TSB-1 transverter switch box, an oustanding transverter system yielding a minimum of 100mW of linear output with a noise figure of less than 2.5dB on 10.368 GHz. can be constructed. In August 1988, Kent Britain WA5VJB used this transverter system to make the first 10GHz. EME-QSO with WA7CJO. All modules are carefully tuned on spectrum and noise gain analyzers for maximum performance. Each unit is available separately for integration into custom applications.
