UEK2000SAT/01 2400 MHz. MODE S DOWNCONVERTER

The UEK-2000SAT/01 is SSB Electronic's latest state of the art mast-mounted S-Band (2400 MHz.) receive converter. Te UEK2000SAT/01 covers MHz. with a corresponding IF of MHz and a noise figure of <0.8 dB with 30 dB of conversion gain. It is constructed in an RF tight plated box which is then housed in a second weather proof mast-mounted enclosure. Stainless hardware, zinc plated mastclamps, N-connectors as well as supply voltage via the coax or a separate feed are standard.

At the 1994 Eastern VHF/UHF Conference Preamp measurements, a UEK2000 was measured at .59dB NF and 21.14 dB Gain. At the 1993 Central States VHF conference NF Contest, a UEK2000 that was purchased by one of our customers was measured at .75dB NF and 20.7 dB Gain. Remember a UEK2000SAT will provide a minimum of 3.0 - 8.0dB better Signal to Noise Ratio (S/N ratio) than any other converter on the market today.

The UEK2000SAT/01 begins with an ultra low noise HEMT RF stage which acheives a first stage noise figure of approximately 0.6dB and an overall converter noise figure of <0.9dB with 30dB of conversion gain. The first RF stage is followed by a two pole Helical filter and another GaAsFET preamplifier stage. Mixing is accomplished through the use of a +7dBm passive Schottky surface mounted microwave Double Balanced Mixer (DBM). A 94 MHz. 5th overtone crystal is used in a x3x2x2x2 filter coupled local oscillator string to provide approximately +7dBm of 2256 MHz. injection at the LO port of the mixer.

The UEK2000SAT/01 is constructed on teflon printed circut board material to acheive low losses and an excellent noise figure at 2400 MHz. In addition, the latest techniques in SMD technology have been employed to yield a converter of unmatched performance.
