For over 20 years SSB Electronic USA has offered and supplied Low Loss Coaxial Cable for Commercial, Military and Amateur Radio use.

 

The Ecoflex brand of cables features: excellent flexibility, low loss, ease of installation, and depending on model usability up to 8.0 GHz.

 

ECOFLEX® 5 is a small, 5 mm (o.d.), flexible coaxial cable usable from DC to 10 GHz. It‘s relative low loss characteristics plus the ability to use standard RG 58 Connectors makes this cable the number one choice not only for Wireless LAN but also   for general RF communications. The low attenuation of Ecoflex 5 is achieved through advanced manufacturing techniques and the use of a PE-LLC dielectric with a foaming rate of more than 70%. This unique dielectric also offers water resistance and long term stability. Ecoflex 5 features a solid center conductor extruded from low oxygen copper (OFC). Further advantages of this cable include the use of double shielding which is constructed of overlapping 100% tight copper foil plus an additional woven copper-braid with 72% coverage. A screening efficiency of > 85 dB@1GHz is realized. The copper foil has an applied PE-coating which prevents foil cracking due to short radius bends. The black PE sheath of Ecoflex 5 is UV stabilized. One of the major advantages of Ecoflex 5 is its ability to use commonly available coaxial Connectors. Since Ecoflex 5 features the same dimensions as RG 58 type cables, standard Connectors may be used. In some cases, due to connector manufacturing tolerances, a slight filing of the cables center conductor maybe required. Ecoflex 5 is the right choice, when a thin, microwave rated cable is required. It is available from stock in the following standard drum sizes: 25 m, 50 m, 100, 200 m and 500 m spools.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ECOFLEX® 7  is a ultra flexible coaxial cable designed for frequencies up to 6 GHz. At a diameter of just 7,3 mm (0.287” OD) and a minimum bending radius of just 25 mm, it offers relatively low loss. The low attenuation of Ecoflex 7 is achieved through advanced manufacturing techniques and the use of a PE-LLC dielectric with a foaming rate of more than 70%. The extreme flexibility of Ecoflex 7 is further enhanced through the use of a multi-stranded oxygen-free center conductor. Further advantages of this cable include the use of double shielding which is constructed of overlapping copperfoil plus an additional tightly woven copper braid. The copperfoil has an applied PE-coating which prevents foil cracking due to short radius bends and the black PVC-sheath of Ecoflex 7 is UV-stabilized. A screening efficiency of > 85 dB @ 1GHz is realized. Aircell 7 is the right choice, when a super flexible, microwave rated cable is required. Ecoflex 7 is available from stock in the following standard drum sizes: 25 m, 50 m, 100 m, 200 m and 500 m.

AIRCOM PREMIUM

The new coaxial cable AIRCOM PREMIUM is the innovative successor to our popular AIRCOM PLUS. It is a ultra-low loss coaxial cable with an upper limit frequency of 12 GHz!  It’s attenuation specification speaks for itself: 22.87 dB. per 100 feet @ 12GHz
AIRCOM PREMIUM is a new hybrid cable from SSB-Electronic. The high-precision shaped aluminum inner conductor is surrounded by a Cu film, which is applied to the inner conductor and is welded there. The skin effect ensures a high-performance RF line. The precise formability of the aluminum core is responsible for almost no impurities in the entire frequency range.

ECOFLEX 15 STANDARD

Ecoflex 15 Standard is a flexible low-loss coaxial cable for use in the frequency range of DC - 6 GHz. Its unique construction combines the low loss properties found in non-flexible solid center conductor hardline cables with the high flexibility of cables manufactured with stranded center conductors. ECOFLEX 15 was designed to meet the demands of the RF and Telecommunications industries for a low loss, highly flexible, affordable coaxial cable. Advanced manufacturing techniques combined with the use of a PE-LLC Dielectric yields a foaming rate of more than 70%, resulting in very low attenuation. The use of continuous center conductor calibration and compression as well as the application of a pre-coating guarantees low losses and stable impedance matching. An EMI screening immunity of > 90 dB @ 1 GHz is achieved through the use of double shielding which consists of overlapping copper foil and an additional tight woven copper-braid. ECOFLEX 15 Plus – 8.0 GHz. Rated Cable

The new Ecoflex@15 Plus is an extended range 15 mm cable with an extended frequency range of 8.0 GHz. Ecoflex@15 Plus takes advantage of a high-precision-Hybrid inner conductor with aluminum core and welded copper shield. Ecoflex@15 Plus is an extremely flexible low-loss 50 Ohm coaxial cable for an operation range up to 8 GHz. Modern production methods and the use of a low-loss PE-LLC dielectric with a gas proportion of more than 70% results in extremely low loss values.

The innovative cable structure of Ecoflex@15 Plus combines the low loss characteristics of 1/2“ cables with a fixed inner conductor and the mechanical attributes of a highly flexible compared to the high-loss characteristics of standard-coaxial cables with stranded inner conductor.

Ecoflex 15 Plus represents the ideal combination. The high flexibility of Ecoflex@15 Plus is guaranteed by a 7-wire Hybrid inner conductor with aluminum core and welded copper shield. Using precise production steps, the inner conductor has to be stranded, compressed, calibrated and finally provided with a pre-coating, to achieve the excellent values for loss and matching. A further “Plus” is the use of double shielding: an overlapping copper foil and a copper braid ensure a high shielding factor of > 90 dB at 1 GHz. The black PVC outer cover of Ecoflex@15 Plus is UV-resistant.

A full complement of quick install solderless coaxial connectors is available including: N, UHF and 7/16 DIN. Assembly can be accomplished in a very short time without any special tools.
